Over The Fence - Formerly Shared News
Over The Fence will be what replaces the former shared news. when you enter your text you will be able to reformat its size, font, color, allignment etc. you will be able to make paragraphs, indentions, and more. You will be be able to make bulleted lists, embed videos etc....
However, Over the Fence will be one of the later added items, after the rest of this new website is more complete.
UNTIL then, we have an alternative option. It is a locally run website called SpaceToob.com. It is similar to MySpace or YouTube EXCEPT the site will be monitored daily by the GBNA website commitee in an attempt to keep it Family Clean. If you ever find ANYTHING that you feel is not Family Clean simply click the button or link to flag it. An email will be sent to the GBNA webmaster and the offending item will be removed if it is deemed unfit for a family website.

A Few Reasons For This Website Using SpaceToob.com:
- Being able to share community event videos with the neighborhood by using an embed code that won't lead families to places that are cluttered with negative, non-family clean content. Examples of that are MySpace & YouTube, while those sites are fun for many peoeple, a lot of families frown on them because of all the negative content posted on them. We are not knocking those sites in any way. We just want to be able to embed videos without sending our families to as much negative content.
- SpaceToob.com is brand new, small, and will be regularly monitored by local residents who will respond when negative or violent content is posted and remove it as soon as possible.
Additional Notes Regarding SpaceToob.com:
- If you create and upload videos to your channel / profile that you think should be posted on the GBNA website, please send the GBNA webmaster an email with a link to the video.
- We will NOT embed or link videos on site like YouTube, MySpace, FaceBook, MyYearbook etc because we do not have anycontrol over negative content on those sites.
- SpaceToob is run by two members of GBNA, therefore, they have a great interest in keeping SpaceToob Family Clean.
- SpaceToob is not owned or operated by GBNA. It is totally separate, but being run by two GBNA members, they will pauy extra attention to making sure it stays as Family Clean as possible so it can be used as a tool for the nieghborhood.
We can embed videos, without worrying as much about sending our neighborhood families to sites flooded negative content, besides the video quality through SpaceToob.com is pretty high..
